In celebration of International Youth Day, Mifali launched an innovative, eco-friendly plastic recycling workshop, guided by our mentor, Women for a Change. This initiative united creative minds and environmental advocates, transforming discarded waste into functional art, demonstrating that sustainability and ingenuity are inextricably linked.

The numbers are staggering: millions of tons of plastic flood landfills and oceans yearly, poisoning marine life and infiltrating our food chain. If current trends persist, experts warn that by 2050, there could be more plastic in the sea than fish. Against this urgent backdrop, Mifali’s workshop emerged as a beacon of hope and innovation, demonstrating how upcycling can turn trash into treasure.
Participants mastered techniques to breathe new life into discarded plastic bottles and old car tires. The results were extraordinary: handcrafted brooms, stylish pen holders, and even a sturdy chair sculpted from tires.
