Women for a Change, Cameroon ED Zoneziwoh Mbondgulo-Wondieh & Board Member Frida Brown are currently in #NewYork for the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (#UNGA79), Summit of the Future (#SoTF) and Climate Action Week to co-host, moderate , monitor, attend events and share insights with partners and leaders from around the world. 
The team will focus on topics including the Beijing30, Pact for the Future and Beyond; where the Executive Director Zoneziwoh Mbondgulo-Wondieh (left on the picture) will be presenting, in her speech; the unwavering demands of African women and girls, drawn from a powerful pan-African consultations on the urgent commitments needed to accelerate the full realization of women’s rights as enshrined in the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
 
Further in their participation and interventions at this year’s general assembly, they will be engaging in conversations and side events that establishes the interaction between gender equality, security and climate justice.
 
In these conversations, their priority areas of concern entails interventions on Financing National Adaptation Plans, ensuring an Inclusive COP29 participation and conversations on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and more.
 
With this year’s theme of Leaving no one behind: acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development, and human dignity for present and future generations,  the conversations at this year’s general assembly provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of the United Nations; with the engagements of civil society organisations, local and grassroots advocates, climate actors, member states and parties, this year’s UNGA marks another important year and milestone in reveiwing and appraising global efforts towards advancing gender equality and the health of our planet.
