Wfac turns 15: Power to the Story of Resistance, Resilience and Empowerment

Wfac at 15! Another year to reminisce on the transformative impact we’ve collectively achieved. Every November 26th, we turn on a new chapter in our history. A year, and an achievement to celebrate with you all as grow together in solidarity and feminist action.

14 years in a collage. Our story embedded in fierceness and resilience, hope and solidarity, persistence, yet resistant. This is Women for a change, Cameroon, and we bring to you, Wfac at 15.

Over the past years, Wfac has meaningfully engaged and participated in policy dialogues and grassroots organizing both at the local, regional, and global levels. Her active and meaningful participation in the Civil Society Advisory Group contributed to the success of the Generation Equality Forums and Beijing+25 Review and Appraisal processes. Facilitating access and participation of over 50 WHRD and adolescents to engage in regional and global policy making dialogues.

In view of her commitments and dedication to gender and climate justice, advancing women and girls sexual and reproductive health and rights, and through her feminist leadership and movement building mentorship and coaching across the Central Africa sub region, her impact continues to trickle down across several communities and persons.

Her work and continuous advocacy also earned her accreditation with ECOSOC, UNFCCC, and UNEP as she continues to meaningfully engage in conversations and policy reforms processes; to ensure that gender is mainstreamed at all levels of decision making both at the national, regional and global levels.
