Join Women for a Change, Cameroon in congratulating Dr. Zoneziwoh Mbondgulo-Wondieh (Executive Director, Wfac) on her recent nominations as one of the five (05) regional coordinators of the Women and Gender Constituency (WGC) – Africa regional body of WGC.

The announcement also coincides with Wfac admission as a member of both WGC & GEDA; both leading entities in advancing feminist climate agenda.

WGC is one of the leading voice and constituency within the UN Climate Change Frameworks(UNFCCC) working to ensure that women’s voices, rights and perspectives in all their diversities are heard and embedded in the UNFCCC processes.

Wfac’s ED brings extensive years of experience in community organizing, building feminist movements and monitoring international negotiations. It is no doubt that together with the other coordinators, voices of African women will continue to take spotlight in all climate deliberations and outcomes.

“For centuries, we continue to witness the multifaceted forms of barriers women and girls face each day, including barriers decision making, accessing and owning land…even though they are the ones very closed to these lands and would experience firsthand the impacts of changing environments…
As coordinators, our role is to see that we get the voices of these women especially the from the African continent visible and heard. As a team therefore we shall continue to work in advancing that mission and most importantly ensure that we contribute towards the realization of a fair, just , inclusive society that embraces all without discrimination based on ethnicity, sex, gender, religion”, says Zoneziwoh (Wfac Ed)
